We're committed to planet-friendlier communications
We’ve committed to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and to minimize our impact on the environment. We think that reducing the carbon footprint of each project and providing our clients with climate-friendlier recommendations is important to help reduce the climate impact of medical communication activities

We’ve set Science Based Targets
Scientific Group was one of the first companies in the medical communications space to join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As an SME, we’ve committed to reducing our Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2029 versus our 2019 baseline year – and ideally more, sooner.

Air travel to international conferences and activities is an integral part of delivering medical communications for our Global and regional clients, but we’ve also committed to reducing our Scope 3 emissions by 50%.

And we’ve managed our emissions since 2019 by supporting high-quality Verified Carbon Standard reduction and carbon sequestration projects in the UK – like peat bog and forest restoration.

After all, as your agency, our Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions contribute to your Scope 3 emissions.

Environmental Management System
We’re proud to share that we have achieved an ISO 14001 certification – the international standard for environmental management systems. This achievement officially recognizes our commitment to identifying, monitoring and controlling our environmental impact. For our clients, it means they can trust that we are actively reducing our environmental footprint, complying with regulations, and continuously improving our sustainability practices.

Verification of Environmental Information
We’re proud to announce that Carbonology has independently verified our July 2024 – June 2025 greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-1. Accurately tracking our carbon footprint is helping us stay aligned with our climate-conscious goals while continuously driving improvement.
